I am pleased to be represented in the MANZ Handbook ‘Compliance in the Supply Chain’ (2024) with a chapter and a commentary on the new EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR-2023/988, in force from 13 December 2024) and on the new EU Product Liability Directive 2024/2853.

The NEW EU Product Liability Directive 2024/2853 has been official since 18 November 2024! It will replace the current one from 1985 and must be implemented in all EU member states by 9 December 2026. Smart products, software, digitalisation and systems with artificial intelligence (AI) are new additions. And many new economic actors, as well as online trade, will be covered by strict product liability.
